    • Is the research question important?
    • Is it interesting to our readers?
    • Is it valid?
  • Editors look for
    • Short, clear, precise title
    • Good abstract: 95% of readers will only read it
    • Good design and methods: easy part
    • Brevity and clear conclusions
  • Cave self-citation
